SKF announced that it has completed the integration of Société Nouvelle de Fabrication Aéronautique (SNFA) into the SKF Group and consolidated the SNFA brand under the SKF brand. SKF precision bearings are found in machine tools and other applications where precision, quiet running and low friction rotation is necessary, such as high-performance racing, marine, and heavy industry.

"Over the last five years we have integrated our deep technical knowledge of super-precision bearings with SNFA's broad knowledge base of machine tool applications," says Henrik Lange, President, SKF Industrial Market Strategic Industries. "As a result, we can provide the industry with an improved and extended range of new-generation, super-precision bearings which let spindles run with higher accuracy and reliability."

SKF acquired SNFA in 2006 with a common goal to join expertise and resources and bring to the market differentiating and better solutions for machine design projects. Based on the combined expertise, SKF will continue working to develop innovative solutions, advanced modeling tools and strengthening our spindle services network with teams of specialists in bearings, lubrication, seals, condition monitoring and more all under the SKF brand.

For customers, this means that super-precision bearings packaging, sales material, engineered solutions and services will be offered under the SKF brand only.
